THAT PERSON HAS BEEN ENGAGED IN COVID -19 VACCINE CLINICS THAT ARE FOCUSED ON THE ASIAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY BUT ARE OPEN TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC, AS WELL AS DISTRIBUTION OF EDUCATIONAL MATERIALS (VINCENT CHIN LEGACY GUIDES) DISTRIBUTED TO HIGH SCHOOLS AND MIDDLE SCHOOLS ACROSS MICHIGAN, ALONG WITH MUSEUMS. IN THE LAST THREE YEARS, FOR COMMUNITY OUTREACH, THE ORGANIZATION HAS PROVIDED SPEAKERS TO A RANGE OF COMMUNITY GATHERINGS AND EMPLOYEE RESOURCE GROUPS, INCLUDING THE MICHIGAN DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL RIGHTS RESPONSE2HATE CONFERENCE, THE MICHIGAN STATE POLICE CADET CLASS, THE MICHIGAN STATE UNIVERSITY LAW SCHOOL, THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN LAW STUDENTS ASSOCIATION, TCF BANK ASIAN ERG, LIVONIA SENIOR CITIZENS, THE FARMINGTON SOAR LIFELONG LEARNING INSTITUTE, THE UNIVERSITY OF MICHIGAN OSHER LIFELONG LEARNING INSTITUTE, HENRY FORD HOSPITAL DERMATOLOGY, FORD CHINESE ERG, ALIX PARTNERS, AND GENERAL MOTORS. THE ORGANIZATION HAS ORGANIZED TWO COMMUNITY CONVERSATIONS WITH THE ASIAN AMERICAN COMMUNITY WITH THE U.S. ATTORNEY'S OFFICE. MOST OF THE TALKS INCLUDE A POWERPOINT PRESENTATION WITH REQUESTS FOR SUPPORT AND ALLYSHIP ON CIVIL RIGHTS MATTERS. THE ORGANIZATION'S WEBSITE DOES HAVE AN INVITATION TAB FOR THE PUBLIC TO CONTACT THE ORGANIZATION. THE ORGANIZTION CONTINUES TO WORK AS AN ORGANIZATIONAL ALLY WITH THE CULTURAL EXCHANGE NETWORK, WHICH ORGANIZES THE CONCERT OF COLORS, AND IS A PARTICIPANT ORGANIZATION WITHIN THE DETROIT RACE EQUITY LEARNING COALITION, WHOSE FILMS AND EVENTS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. THE ORGANIZATION TRACKS CASES OF ANTI-ASIAN SENTIMENT IN PLACES LIKE ANN ARBOR, NORTHVILLE, FARMINGTON, STERLING HEIGHTS, DETROIT, AND CLINTON COUNTY, MICHIGAN. THE ORGANIZATION IS PREPARED TO CONDUCT COURTROOM COURT WATCHES AS NEEDED WHEN REQUESTED BY THE COMMUNITY OR AFFECTED VICTIM'S FAMILY TO SHOW COMMUNITY SUPPORT. THE ORGANIZATION HAS PARTICIPATED IN PUBLIC RALLIES IN SUPPORT OF ASIAN AMERICAN VICTIMS IN DOWNTOWN DETROIT, ANN ARBOR, EASTPOINTE, AND TROY, IN COLLABORATION WITH GROUPS LIKE RISING VOICES, APIA VOTE-MICHIGAN, AND WHEREEVER WE'RE NEEDED.SOURCES OF SUPPORT - OVER THE LAST THREE YEARS, THE ORGANIZATION HAS BROADENED ITS SOURCES OF SUPPORT TO INCLUDE SEVERAL FOUNDATIONS, SUCH AS THE KRESGE FOUNDATION, THE FORD FOUNDATION, THE SURDNA FOUNDATION, AND THE LUCE FOUNDATION, PARTICULARLY FOR THE VINCENT CHIN 40TH COMMEMORATION. THE COMMEMORATION EVENTS HELD IN JUNE 2022 WERE ALL FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC. FUNDING ALSO HAS COME FROM THE MICHIGAN ASIAN PACIFIC AMERICAN AFFAIRS COMMISSION AND THE MICHIGAN STATE POLICE. INDIVIDUAL GIVING HAS BEEN A RELATIVELY SMALL PART OF THE ORGANIZATION'S SUPPORT IN COMPARISON TO THE FOUNDATION SUPPORT.REPRESENTATIVE GOVERNING BODY - THE ORGANIZATION HAS A GOVERNING BOARD. IT IS PAN-ASIAN IN ITS MAKEUP. IT IS DIVERSE ETHNICALLY, RELIGIOUSLY, AND PROFESSIONALLY.
