Mission

Midland's open door (mod) operates two crisis shelters, one for women and children and one for men. Mod's programs are designed to meet the immediate needs of homeless individuals by providing a safe and loving environment where each person will have the space, time and resources needed to move towards stability and independence. In addition, mod also facilitates community outreach programs through our soup kitchen and clothing ministry.

Jail ministry through collaboration with the midland county jail, mod volunteers go into the jail each week to provide one-on-one prayer visits and group sunday services to male and female inmates (separately) each week. Volunteers also distribute bibles and devotional materials through the jail administration as needed. Clothing shed midland's open door operates a clothing ministry to provide seasonal clothing for men and women in need, free of charge. The clothing shed is open to shelter guests and to the public as needed. There are no formal qualifications to received clothing assistance. All of the clothing is donated by the community.

CLOTHING SHED MIDLAND'S OPEN DOOR OPERATES A CLOTHING MINISTRY TO PROVIDE SEASONAL CLOTHING FOR MEN AND WOMEN IN NEED, FREE OF CHARGE. THE CLOTHING SHED IS OPEN TO SHELTER GUESTS AND TO THE PUBLIC AS NEEDED. THERE ARE NO FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS TO RECEIVED CLOTHING ASSISTANCE. ALL OF THE CLOTHING IS DONATED BY THE COMMUNITY.
