Prior to the forms filing, the audit committee of the board, consisting of 5 of the 17 board members reviews the annual audited financial statements to be used as basis of preparation for the form 990 return. The final preparation and review of the 990 are performed by the director of financial services, the public accounting firm and the treasurer. The audit committee will review the completed return prior to filing and copies are made available to the remainder of the board prior to filing.”

Merit increases are based on: 1) an employee's performance; 2) merit increase guidelines, and 3) their current position relative to the salary range mfb's top management employees are evaluated by a five person executive committee of the board. The performance review along with any salary adjustments is then reviewed with the full 17 member board of directors. Mfb's officers, including its president, general counsel/secretary, and treasurer are evaluated, annually, by a five person executive committee of the board.
