“Annual grosse pointe garden tour: the tour is a popular annual even during which a significant number of beautiful private area gardens are on display for the public to enjoy. The tour serves to enhance the image of the entire grosse pointe community and inspires participants to improve their home gardens. 800 attendees”

“Lecture series: grosse pointe garden center provides a series of programs, lectures and workshops which are open to the community furthering the effort to expand knowledge of gardening and conservation in the grosse pointe community and surrounding area. Of persons benefited: 300 attendees.”

“Annual trial gardens: every year the grosse pointe garden center provides a circular garden plot divided into nine pie shaped sections for use as a community gardening competition. All of the local garden clubs are invited to participate by selecting a section of the "trial garden- and, following a theme,plan,plant and maintain the gardens from spring through end of summer. Each participating garden club is provided a stipend by the grosse pointe garden center to help offset their costs incurred during the competition. A panel of master gardeners judges each section of the garden on three different occasions during the length of the event. First, second and third place winners are announced at an end of summer tea to which the community is invited. From spring planting and throughout the summer, the trial gardens are available for the public to enjoy. 500 garden members plus entire grosse pointe community benefited.”
