“A copy of the form 990 will be reviewed by the executive committee/finance & audit committee members upon receipt. After any issues are resolved, all board members will receive a copy via encrypted e-mail prior to their board meeting, for approval during the board meeting. Any issues will be resolved before filing the 990 or via an amended return, depending on timing of the full board review.”

Executive director's expenses are reviewed and approved by the board president. A segmented approval process exists where limited authority is given to any one individual.”

The committee deliberates using comparability data from peer organizations and the published american society of association executives wage and benefit survey. Board approves and provides an annual increase, if any, to the accounting firm for processing.”
