Mission

Wezesha Dada Center (WDC) empowers individualsespecially women, immigrants, and underrepresented communities through programs that support entrepreneurship, financial access, peer connection, and holistic wellness. Our services include business education and consulting, referrals to funding and capital, peer networking events, and self-empowerment classes focused on health, safety, and work-life balance. These programs are delivered in person and online, and are supported through grants, sponsorships, and partnerships.

Referrals to Funding and Capital WDC provided access to capital and technical assistance to 100 entrepreneurs and small business owners through one-on-one consultations and financial readiness workshops. Participants received support identifying appropriate funding sources, preparing loan applications, and connecting with state and community-based lenders. 70 individuals attended group workshops focused on understanding lending requirements, improving business operations, and increasing capital readiness. The program was delivered across seven counties and prioritized inclusive economic growth for communities with limited access to traditional financing.$56,561$40,304
Self-Empowerment, Health Equity & Holistic Wellness WDC provided outreach, education, and culturally tailored services to over 230 individuals, including undocumented, pregnant women and children, to improve access to Medicaid. We conducted targeted community outreach around measles prevention, vaccine awareness, and access to culturally responsive care. WDC also delivered cultural competency training to 67 Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) providers, equipping them with tools to better serve African immigrant and refugee communities. The organization conducted targeted community outreach on measles prevention, vaccine awareness, and access to culturally responsive care. Additionally, WDC delivered cultural competency training to 67 Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) providers, equipping them with tools to better serve African immigrant and refugee communities. These efforts addressed systemic barriers to health access and promoted holistic wellness across underserved populations in the Denver metro area and surrounding counties. Program Title: Business & Youth Entrepreneurship Development WDC provided culturally responsive business education, consulting services, and youth development programs to 119 individuals. Adult participants accessed in-person and virtual workshops on business formation, marketing, and funding readiness. Middle and high school students participated in hands-on entrepreneurship training, career exploration, and mentorship through WDCs summer Youth Development Program. A total of 31 youth completed the program, with 87% reporting increased confidence in their career and entrepreneurship skills. Program Title: Referrals to Funding and Capital WDC provided access to capital and technical assistance to 100 entrepreneurs and small business owners through one-on-one consultations and financial readiness workshops. Participants received guidance on identifying appropriate funding sources, preparing loan applications, and connecting with state and community-based lenders. Seventy individuals attended workshops focused on lending requirements, business planning, and increasing capital readiness. The program was delivered across seven counties as part of the What Makes Colorado Pop initiative and prioritized inclusive economic development for communities with limited access to traditional financing.
