“The soar executive board appointed jim host as chair of the personnel committee. Jean hale and tom hunter also served on the committee. They partnered with the state personnel director who conducted research and crafted the job description and salary range based on his findings. Using the recommended criteria the personnel committee conducted a nationwide search, narrowing the candidates down to four who were chosen for in person interviews. Two of those candidates were recommended for interviews with the governor and congressman. The governor and congressman selected the final candidate which was recommended to the full board for approval.”
