Program Name: MEAL MINISTRY- Serving the Poor RAM Ministries' Meal Ministry addresses food insecurity in Stark County, Ohio-particularly in the Alliance area, where poverty exceeds 23%. We provide free, nutritious meals to low-income individuals and families who experience chronic hunger and financial hardship. Meals are served six to seven times per month at scheduled community locations, totaling over 6,000 meals annually. In addition to food, we create a welcoming and dignified environment by playing music, visiting with them, personally serving guests with drink refills and carryout meals, encouraging them to help with carrying and cleaning, and offering hygiene products and pantry items such as boxed and canned goods to take home, and winter clothing essentials. This compassionate, service-oriented approach fosters a sense of community and trust while meeting both immediate and ongoing needs. Success is measured by the number of meals served, increased food storage and distribution capacity, and anecdotal evidence of improved well-being among participants. Program Name: WOMEN OF COURAGE-Women of Courage is a faith-based outreach program operated by RAM Ministries that supports women facing adversity, including those impacted by poverty, addiction, trauma, and incarceration. The program provides a safe, supportive environment where women can heal, grow, and develop the tools needed to lead productive, purpose-driven lives. Offered weekly in both community settings and the Stark County Jail-where separate six-session classes are held for violent and non-violent offenders-the program is voluntary and open to women for continued participation beyond the initial rotation. Core teachings emphasize discovering life purpose, setting and achieving personal goals, living with character and integrity, managing relationships, and improving overall quality of life. Women of Courage equips participants with the resources and practical skills needed to successfully reintegrate into society, become financially stable, and live independently. Services include: * Job readiness training and employment support * Financial literacy education, including budgeting skills * Help obtaining vital records (birth certificates, state IDs, Social Security cards) * Transportation support, including bus passes * Distribution of clothing, hygiene products, and personal care items * Provision of beds, furniture, appliances, and other essential household goods * Temporary emergency housing * One-on-one case management and post-release support All services are provided free of charge. The program is designed to reduce recidivism, break cycles of hardship, and help women become self-sufficient, confident contributors to their families and communities. Accomplishments: * Served 239 women in 2024 through in-jail and community-based programming * Celebrated 84 graduates. * Provided job readiness training, budgeting education, and personal development tools * Assisted with securing employment, legal documents, and emergency housing * Distributed clothing, hygiene supplies, transportation support, and household necessities * Fostered personal growth through faith-based mentorship, goal-setting, and character development. Program Name: BE THE ONE-Be the ONE - Youth Empowerment Program Launched in 2024, RAM Ministries' Be the ONE program is designed to help break the cycle of poverty, abuse, addiction, and mental health struggles that disproportionately affect youth in our community. This 8-session mentorship program equips young people with the tools to become individuals of integrity by helping them set personal goals, identify and change destructive behavioral patterns, define their core values, evaluate relationships, and move forward from past mistakes. IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt1Program Name: MEAL MINISTRY- Serving the Poor RAM Ministries' Meal Ministry addresses food insecurity in Stark County, Ohio-particularly in the Alliance area, where poverty exceeds 23%. We provide free, nutritious meals to low-income individuals and families who experience chronic hunger and financial hardship. Meals are served six to seven times per month at scheduled community locations, totaling over 6,000 meals annually. In addition to food, we create a welcoming and dignified environment by playing music, visiting with them, personally serving guests with drink refills and carryout meals, encouraging them to help with carrying and cleaning, and offering hygiene products and pantry items such as boxed and canned goods to take home, and winter clothing essentials. This compassionate, service-oriented approach fosters a sense of community and trust while meeting both immediate and ongoing needs. Success is measured by the number of meals served, increased food storage and distribution capacity, and anecdotal evidence of improved well-being among participants. Program Name: WOMEN OF COURAGE-Women of Courage is a faith-based outreach program operated by RAM Ministries that supports women facing adversity, including those impacted by poverty, addiction, trauma, and incarceration. The program provides a safe, supportive environment where women can heal, grow, and develop the tools needed to lead productive, purpose-driven lives. Offered weekly in both community settings and the Stark County Jail-where separate six-session classes are held for violent and non-violent offenders-the program is voluntary and open to women for continued participation beyond the initial rotation. Core teachings emphasize discovering life purpose, setting and achieving personal goals, living with character and integrity, managing relationships, and improving overall quality of life. Women of Courage equips participants with the resources and practical skills needed to successfully reintegrate into society, become financially stable, and live independently. Services include: * Job readiness training and employment support * Financial literacy education, including budgeting skills * Help obtaining vital records (birth certificates, state IDs, Social Security cards) * Transportation support, including bus passes * Distribution of clothing, hygiene products, and personal care items * Provision of beds, furniture, appliances, and other essential household goods * Temporary emergency housing * One-on-one case management and post-release support All services are provided free of charge. The program is designed to reduce recidivism, break cycles of hardship, and help women become self-sufficient, confident contributors to their families and communities. Accomplishments: * Served 239 women in 2024 through in-jail and community-based programming * Celebrated 84 graduates. * Provided job readiness training, budgeting education, and personal development tools * Assisted with securing employment, legal documents, and emergency housing * Distributed clothing, hygiene supplies, transportation support, and household necessities * Fostered personal growth through faith-based mentorship, goal-setting, and character development. Program Name: BE THE ONE-Be the ONE - Youth Empowerment Program Launched in 2024, RAM Ministries' Be the ONE program is designed to help break the cycle of poverty, abuse, addiction, and mental health struggles that disproportionately affect youth in our community. This 8-session mentorship program equips young people with the tools to become individuals of integrity by helping them set personal goals, identify and change destructive behavioral patterns, define their core values, evaluate relationships, and move forward from past mistakes.
