“Program Service Accomplishments - The Lakeshore Community Chorus' (LCC) stated mission is, "The Lakeshore Community Chorus fosters community engagement by performing diverse choral music and sponsoring related programs for the education and enjoyment of members and audiences in our surrounding lakeshore communities." We achieve this primarily through performing two signature concerts each year, one in the Fall (holiday concert) and one in the Spring. Our concerts often involve collaboration with area high schools and other guest choral groups. We also perform at senior centers, local community events and 'pop-up' vocal performances in and around the Saugatuck-Douglas area. Our 2024 Holiday concert, "I'll Be Seeing You: Holiday Homecomings" was presented on December 7th and 8th at the Saugatuck Center for the Arts. The concert included a variety of Christmas and holiday songs interspersed with readings related to going home for the holidays. The 49 singers ranged in age from 17 to 80+. There were 480 adults and 17 students in attendance at the two performances. Our Spring concert, "Bosom Buddies of Broadway" was presented on May 31st and June 1st at the First Congregational Church of Saugatuck. The performances featured songs from a variety of Broadway musicals performed by the entire chorus and smaller ensembles. There were 269 adults and 5 students in attendance at the two performances at the much smaller FCC venue. The age range of singers for the Spring concert was similar to the Fall concert. The breakdown of our $41,211 in expenses for the '24/'25 fiscal year is as follows: Program - 89%; Administration - 9%; Fundraising - 2%.”
