Activity 2

Child and family connections of central illinois--child and family connections (cfc) #14 and #16 are the regional intake offices for the illinois early intervention system serving children aged birth to three years suspected of a developmental delay or disability and their families. Easter seals began management of these cfc offices on july 1, 2013. The offices provide service coordination and support services throughout eleven central illinois counties. Early intervention credentialed service coordinators work with families to develop an individualized family service plan and help select service providers to meet the needs of their child. The two offices (#14 in peoria and #16 in champaign) serve more than 1,500 families at any given time during the year with new referrals and case closures running approximately 2,700 combined per year.

Activity 3

Camping and recreation - timber pointe outdoor center is the premier resource in the state of illinois providing specialized and inclusive camping and respite programming for individuals with disabilities and/or special needs and their families. Timber pointe outdoor center provides a safe, accessible and beautiful environment for our families. Over 1,600 children and adults with disabilities and special needs from all over illinois and the surrounding states attended camp. An additional 5,500 individuals participated in conferences, receptions, retreats, and team challenge experiences held at timber pointe outdoor center.
