“Minutes of committee mettings are documented for each meeting and approved by the governing board.”

“A copy of the form 990 is made available to each voting member of the governing body prior to the filing with the irs.”

“The directors, officers and employees of the monmouth area chamber of commerce must avoid actual and apparent conflicts of interest that would impair their ability to discharge their responsibilities to the organization with the necessary loyalty and integrity. Conflicts of interests subject to this policy include, but are not limited to: 1. Ownership of any financial or proprietary interest in any entity supplying or seeking to supply goods or services to the organization. 2. Receipt of any substantial benefits from a third party on account of that party's past, present, or future business relationship with the organization. 3. Receipt of any substantial financial benefit from a pending decision of the organization. 4. Services as an officer, director, committee chair, or staff member of any competing organization. In determining whether a conflict of interest exists, the foregoing definition applies to interest owned or benefits received by the individuals, his or her spouse, children, or parents, any businesses enterprise for which any of the foregoing individuals perform substantial services.”
