Mission

The mission of the pressure sensitive tape council is to be the voice of north american tape manufacturers within the global industry. The mission is accomplished by promoting harmonized global test methods for quality assurance, by proactively influencing relevant legislative, regulatory, supply chain and environmental issues and by providing and sharing information about the tape industry through publications, technical and educational seminars.

The pstc is recognized as the influential north american trade association of world-class pressure sensitive adhesive tape manufacturers and their suppliers, whose goal is to increase the global usage of psa tape products.

A professional management company, kellen company, provides all management services.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 6

The membership is comprised of tape manufacturers with voting rights and affiliate suppliers without voting rights.

Form 990, Part VI, Section A, line 7A

The management of the council and its affairs shall be by the members of the council with one voting delegate per manufacturing member company. The board of directors shall be elected each year by a majority of the members present at the annual meeting of the council to serve until their successors are duly elected and qualified. Any vacancy occuring on the board may be filled by a majority vote of the members. No member of the council shall have more than one representative to the board.

The manufacturing members are allowed to vote on the adoption of the budget.

Form 990, Part VI, Section B, line 11B

An outside accountant prepares the form 990 tax return. The management company and select officers review the 990 return and approve for filing with the irs. The 990 is saved as a pdf and posted on a secure board member's website. An email is sent notifying the board that the document is available. It is discussed at the following board meeting and recorded in the minutes.
