Foma was organized for the purpose of advancing the science and art of osteopathic medicine; extending the benefits of scientific advancement to the treatment, prevention, and alleviation of human ailments; and promoting closer relationships between the osteopathic profession, foma members, and other groups dedicated to improve health care. “District 2, foma holds dinner meetings for do's throughout the year. These meetings are an opportunity for physicians to be briefed on the latest legislative issues, earn cme credits, and network with other do's in their area. District 2 covers the following counties: baker, bradford, clay columbia, duval, hamilton, lafayette, nassua, st. Johns, suwannee, and union. District 2, foma organizes and presents an annual cme conference. Speakers with national recognition will present the latest developments in several fields including: cardiology, peripheral vascular medicine, endovascular medicine, surgery, podiatry and other internal medicine subspecialty areas. Endorsing this event was the florida osteopathic medical association district society 2 (foma ds 2), the florida medical association (fma), and memorial hospital jacksonville (mhj). This activity was planned and implemented in accordance with the essential areas and policies of the accreditation council for continuing medical education through joint sponsorship of foma ds 2 and mhj.”
