During the fiscal year, educate fairfax administered the following program services: 1. Educate fairfax grants educate fairfax fuels school-based and classroom innovation through competitive grants that empower educators to bring bold ideas to life. In fy2025, 107 educator-led innovation grants were awarded to 100 fairfax county public schools and centers, including 24 title i schools, to enhance and extend the standard curriculum. These projects promote deeper learning, creativity, critical thinking, and student engagement impacting more than 36,000 students across diverse grade levels, subject areas, and regions of fcps. 2. Kids in need fund every student deserves the basics to thrive in school and beyond. Through the kids in need fund, educate fairfax provides essential resources to fairfax county public schools (fcps) students identified as facing economic hardship, removing barriers that interfere with learning. Support may include food security assistance; backpacks and classroom supplies; clothing and hygiene items; laptops, tablets, and internet access; and transportation support for internships, apprenticeships, and workforce development opportunities. By addressing these critical needs, educate fairfax promotes equity, dignity, and readiness ensuring students arrive prepared, confident, and able to focus on their education. 3. Innovators fund the innovators fund advances hands-on, real-world learning experiences that prepare students for college, career, and life. It empowers fcps educators to provide diverse learning environments and opportunities for students to excel by addressing gaps in funding. Through strategic partnerships and community investment, the innovators fund propels ideas and district-wide initiatives that foster problem-solving, collaboration, and creativity equipping students with the skills and mindsets needed to lead in emerging industries and a rapidly evolving world. 4. Scholarship fund educate fairfax manages and stewards a growing portfolio of scholarship funds that open doors to higher education and postsecondary opportunity for fcps students. Through donor-established and foundation-led scholarships, we award financial support to graduating seniors pursuing college, technical training, military service, or workforce certification programs. Our scholarships prioritize academic achievement, leadership, service, resilience, and demonstrated financial need, ensuring that deserving students have a clear and supported path forward after graduation. By connecting community generosity with student ambition, educate fairfax helps transform aspirations into attainable futures.
