We ran a Community Grant Program focused on providing small grants to local community groups, student groups and 501(c)(3) organizations to promote and preserve open space and parkland and provide advocacy and education about environmental stewardship. We solicited applications from the community and granted six individual grants in the aggregate amount of $9,015. We also held a public event attended by over 80 people to honor the six grantees and to hear presentations about the work that each local group did. These projects included the removal of invasive plants, the planting of native plants, trees and shrubs, and developing educational programs promoting this work$9,015$0
