Approaching policy makers including legislators, we address issues relative to the expansion of school-based health care and quality of care at the centers as well as other policy agenda items. All advocacy is non-partisan and unrelated to any campaigns for office. Advocacy includes many activities like media campaigns, public speaking and community organizing around a central issue. Social media, electronic newsletters, action alerts and our web site are all closey connected with the overall communication to our members, champions and grassroots advisors, who carry a message to a variety of audiences.

By hosting an annual conference, conference calls and webinars, as well as convening informal groups and organized coalitions, we train, nurture and advance the mission. We also share current practice and developments through strategic communication with health and education staff, administrators and funders to keep them apprised of current events, funding notices and other opportunities in the health and education fields. We provide pass-through funding to sites to develop innovative programs, provide assistance to them in becoming successful and share project outcomes.
