Mission

The rolfe pancreatic cancer foundation's mission is to serve as a catalyst for the early diagnosis and ultimate cure of pancreatic cancer.

The Rolfe Pancreatic Cancer Foundation raises funds to support research related to the early detection of pancreatic cancer. The Foundation also provides personal support to those affected by pancreatic cancer through tailored resources, connections and education, and funding for early detection research.

Jim Rolfe, Lisa Rolfe Burik, and Judy Rolfe are immediate family members and founders of the Foundation. Michael Sheinkop and Rachel Sheinkop are married. Rachel Sheinkop is no longer an active member of the board, as of 1.1.23.

The 990 is internally reviewed and prepared by the Executive Director and contracted accountant. Then the Board Treasurer reviews before submitting to the full Board of Directors for review and approval.

FIN 48 Footnote from Audited Financials: The Organization is exempt from federal income taxes under the provisions of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Management believes that it did not engage in any unrelated business activities; thus, no provision for income tax has been provided for the financial statements. The Organization's Form 990, Return of Organization Exempt from Income Tax, are subject to examination by the IRS, generally for three years after they were filed. The Organization has adopted the requirements for accounting for uncertain tax positions and management has determined that the Organization was not required to record a liability related to uncertain tax positions as of December 31, 2024.
