“Accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america requires management to evaluate tax positions taken by cec and recognize a tax liability (or asset) if cec has taken an uncertain position that more likely than not would not be sustained upon examination by the internal revenue service (irs). As cec is tax-exempt, management has concluded that as of june 30, 2021 and 2020, there are no uncertain tax positions taken or expected to be taken that would require recognition of a liability (or asset) or disclosure in the financial statements. Cec is subject to routine audits by taxing jurisdictions; however, there are currently no audits for any tax periods in progress. Cec's forms 990, return of organization exempt from income tax, for the years ending june 30, 2019, 2020 and 2021 are subject to examination by the irs, generally for three years after they were filed. Cec's policy is to record any income tax-related penalties and interest incurred as general and administrative expense. Cec did not incur any income tax related penalties or interest for the years ended june 30, 2020 and 2019.”
