“Promotes world recognition of all member styles in a manner consistent with the spirit of karate-do, serves the membership by continually improving the quality of our standards, and performs in a manner which warrants the highest degree of public confidence in our integrity, humanity, and fairness. Unifies and coordinates traditional martial arts activities with centralized leadership and a national governing body that is qualified to represent all member styles throughout the karate-do community. Promotes high standards of technical skill and competence within the karate-do community through traditional instruction, specialized clinics, rank certification, referee certification, and the sanctioning of regional, national, and international amateur tournament events.
