Financial Statement Notes

Part X, Line 2:

“FIN 48 Note from Audited Financial Statements The Academy was granted an exemption from federal income taxes by the Internal Revenue Service pursuant to the provisions of Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(6). The tax-exempt purpose of the Association and the nature in which it operates is described in the first paragraph of this note. Management's assertion is that the Association continues to operate in compliance with its tax-exempt purpose. The Academy's annual returns filed with the Federal and State governments are subject to examination by taxing authorities, generally for three years after being filed. The Academy has adopted the requirements for accounting for uncertain tax positions and management has determined the Association was not required to record a liability related to uncertain tax positions as of December 31, 2024. When the Academy does generate advertising revenue, service revenue from some sponsors and job bank fees. These activities are considered unrelated to the Association's exempt purpose and revenue, less related expenses are subject to income tax.”

IRS990ScheduleD/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt0FIN 48 Note from Audited Financial Statements The Academy was granted an exemption from federal income taxes by the Internal Revenue Service pursuant to the provisions of Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(6). The tax-exempt purpose of the Association and the nature in which it operates is described in the first paragraph of this note. Management's assertion is that the Association continues to operate in compliance with its tax-exempt purpose. The Academy's annual returns filed with the Federal and State governments are subject to examination by taxing authorities, generally for three years after being filed. The Academy has adopted the requirements for accounting for uncertain tax positions and management has determined the Association was not required to record a liability related to uncertain tax positions as of December 31, 2024. When the Academy does generate advertising revenue, service revenue from some sponsors and job bank fees. These activities are considered unrelated to the Association's exempt purpose and revenue, less related expenses are subject to income tax.
