During the fiscal year, the Board voted to dissolve the Foundation and articles of dissolution were filed with the state. All of the assets and liabilities were transferred to Brethren Home, a 501(c)(3) public charity. Brethren Home Board of Directors has the authority to act on behalf of the Pinecrest Foundation Board. The Foundation dissolved on March 24, 2021.

Ferol Labash, CEO, reviewed the Form 990 carefully. The Form 990 was presented at the Board of Director's meeting and was reviewed and approved by the Board before it was filed.

Each officer and board member must complete a conflict of interest form. The organization regularly and consistently monitors and enforces the conflict of interest policy. The CEO and the compliance officer review the annual statements and potential conflicts are brought to the attention of the executive board. If a conflict is discovered the executive board will take action.

The Brethren Home Board of Directors has the authority to act on behalf of the Pinecrest Foundation Board. The Foundation only gives money to Brethren Home, Pinecrest Village, or Pinecrest Grove. The Board of Directors is presented with a need from one of these entities. The Board decides what to fund. Funds given are monitored by the Board members that serve mutually on both boards as to the amount given and the use.
