“As stated in article i of the association's constitution and bi-laws, the main purpose and objective is to promulgate a closer feeling of friendship and fellowship amongst all paid professional fire fighers; to promote the interests and education of fire fighters in curren safety and health concerns; to update fire fighters with information on the latest techniques and training; to assist the iaff in organizing all paid professional fire fighters; to provide a means of assistance to member locals; to place the association on a higher plain of efficiency, so as to promote a feeling of confidence and harmony with the general public and public officials.”
