There are three types of membership classes: (1) executive members includes (a) in-house marketing, business development and growth professionals whose responsibilities include marketing and selling services for public accounting and other pfoessional services related to the accounting industry and (b) partners, cpa's and other professionals responsible for marketing and/or growth within public accounting firms, management consulting and other professional services firms related to the accounting industry; (2) affiliate members includes a consultants to the accounting profession, (b) providers of goods and services to the accounting profession, and (c) members of industry associations related to the accounting industry; (3) academic / media includes a educators, (b) students, and (c) members of the media.”

“The Nominating Committee, chaired by the Immediate Past President, shall furnish to the Board of Directors the names of at least one (1) candidate for each of the elective positions on the Board of Directors for which members are to be elected. This slate of officers and positions shall be approved by the Board of Directors. A Member in good standing shall be entitled to cast one (1) vote in any Association election or referendum.”

“An electronic copy of the form 990 is provided to each voting member of the governing body at least two weeks prior to the filing of the return. Upon tax preparers completion of the irs form 990, the form and accompanying schedules will first be reviewed by key members of the the association management company's client team. Thereafter an electronic copy of form 990 and accompanying schedules will be made available electronically to each voting member of the governing body with electronic e-mail notification and instructions for contacting association headquarters with comments or questions, if any. A two-week timeframe will be provided for governing body comments or questions. Following the open timeframe for governing body comments or questions, and following resolution of any questions or other matters that have arisen, the e-file authorization form is signed by the president or treasurer and the form 990 is electroncially filed.”

“Annually, each member of the governing board is required to complete a conflict of interest questionnaire which identifies any potential conflicts.”

“All documents requiring public disclosure by the Internal Revenue Service are made available upon request for the same period of disclosure set forth in Section 6104D.”
