Mission and Program Overview

Mission

Operate as a financial arm of the nations fellowship seventh-day adventist church of the lake region conference of the seventh-day adventist church. Community outreach to effect the surrounding community.

During the year, financial assistance was given to peoples in the community who incurred financial need because of the financial crisis in De page County Illinois.The Organization provided educational, inspirational and recreational programs to under served and underprivileged children between ages 10-18 at Hinsdale Lake Terrace Complex. There was also a trip to the De sable Museum in Chicago for the same group of Children. Transportation and Refreshments were provided.A musical extravaganza was held for children ages 5-14 in May 2011 to mentor these young people so that they could enhance their musical skills. Experienced musician monitored the young musicians in a master class format.Annual Christmas concerts are held for the community at large. Theses concerts are free of charge and everyone is welcome.A community outing and hay-ride was held for the community members. Applications were required to be completed for the outing, Food and transportation was Provided.On September 19, 20

Used the information to lead the WBCC (Coalition of service providers to the community) in developing a new vision and mission statement that focuses more on the needs and goals of the residents than on the goals of the organization. Went for Training in Sanduskey, Ohio on adopting Public Schools = National Church Adopt A School Initiative - to learn more effective statuettes for meeting the needs of High School Students. Adopted the Hinsdale South High School which serves the Hinsdale Lakes Terrance Community to have better contact and flow of information on needs to addressed. Assisted community residents wit rent and other needs for a total of $6,475.00. Formed a collaborative with the Community Liaison for Hinsdale South High School to assess current programs and initiatives for minority students and determine students needs. Designed an 8-week Academic Book Camp for High Schools Teens - ready to be implemented.
