“Other Program Expenses - Fundraiser - held a social evening with food and games to raise money that was then donated to West Suburban Community Pantry, a 501(c)3 organization in Woodridge, IL, serving Du Page and Will Counties. Members made and donated the following; 104 Quilts and Afghans to Sharing Connections, for distribution to individuals and families in need, 144 quilts for Quilts of Valor made and awarded to veterans, 76 pillow cases to Ryan's Case for Smiles, for distribution to children with cancer, 800 Christmas Stockings to Sharing Connections, for their Holiday toy program for local children, 98 dog begs to TLC Homer Glen, PAWS Chicago Humane societies, and Sharing Connections, 299 port pillows to Affiliated Oncology, Mokena for chemo therapy patients, 447 fabric hearts for use in neonatal ICU's at Edwards, Illinois Masonic, and Northwestern Prentice Women's hospitals, 196 preemie caps for use in neonatal ICU's at Edwards and Illinois Masonic hospitals, 184 burp cloths to Illinois Masonic Hospital, Chicago for use with pediatric patients, members donated packages of new underwear, bras and socks to DuPage PADs, members collected pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House.”
