“During 2017, the association amended its governing document by modifying the approval process for prospective new members. According to amended section two of the association's membership by-law provision, the approval process for prospective members is as follows: 1. The board shall establish and implement procedures for the submission and review of applications for voting, associate and honorary members as defined in section one. 2. Candidates for voting and honorary membership will be assessed and proposed to the board by a membership committee chaired by a board member. 3. Candidates for honorary membership will be proposed to the board by one voting member with the endorsement of five (5) voting members. 4. Candidates for membership whom the board has approved will be submitted for consideration by email to all voting members, and accepted if no objections were received by the administrator within two (2) weeks. They will be introduced to the membership at the next general membership meeting they attend. 5. Applications or nominations attracting objection will be reconsidered by the board, in confidence. 6.
