Each board member reviews and signs a copy of the conflict of interest policy on an annual basis. Also conflict of interest policy is included in the employee handbook.

All employees undergo a written evaluation process. The executive director salary is evaluated by the board president and this evaluation is reviewed by members of the ccss board executive committee consisting of vice-president, secretary and treasurer. Members of the management team are evaluated by the executive director.

The crisis center for south suburbia is a voluntary non-profit community organization that provides emergency shelter and other essential services for individuals and families victimized by domestic violence and addresses the societal issues that contribute to domestic violence.

Clinical counseling - provided 2,981 hours of counseling and therapy services to 1,200 adults and 261 children.

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

The organization has adopted accounting principles related to uncertain tax positions and has evaluated its tax positions taken for all open tax years. Currently, the 2017, 2018 and 2019 tax years are open and subject to examination by the internal revenue service, the illinois attorney general, and illinois department of revenue. However, the organization is not currently under audit nor has the organization been contacted by any of these jurisdictions. The organization has evaluated its tax positions taken for all open tax years. Based on the evaluation of the organization's tax positions, management beleives all positions taken would be upheld under an examination. Therefore, no liability for the effects of uncertain tax positions was recorded at june 30, 2021. Any interest and penalties recognized and associated with a tax position would be classified as miscellaneous expenses on the organization's financial statements. No such amounts were recognized in the year ended june 30, 2021.
