“The association has both individual and corporate members.”
“Each active member, who is a member in good standing, shall be entitled to one (1) vote on each matter submitted to a vote of the active members. The primary representative of the active member is entitled to cast the vote on behalf of such active member. Except as otherwise required by the act, actions of the active members shall require the affirmative vote of a majority of a quorum of the active members present at a meeting. An active member is entitled to vote in person or by proxy executed in writing by the active member or by that active member's primary representative. No proxy shall be valid after eleven (11) months from the date of its execution, unless otherwise provided in the proxy. The elections of directors or officers by the active members may be conducted by mail, electronic mail, or other electronic means or any combination thereof provided that the number of active members' casting votes would constitute a quorum if such action had been taken at a meeting. The association shall have fifteen (15) directors, five (5) of whom shall be officers of the association. Only the primary representatives of active member companies are eligible for board positions. Each candidate for director shall have been the primary representative of an active member of the association, provided such active member shall have been in good standing for a minimum of one (1) year. Candidates for one of the five (5) officer positions shall have served on an association committee for a minimum of one (1) year within the last two (2) years. Candidates for president-elect must have served on the board for at least one (1) year. Directors are limited to three consecutive terms of office. Directors who serve three consecutive terms must wait a minimum of one year before seeking re-election to office. However, a person may serve as president-elect, president and past-president in addition to three consecutive terms of office on the board of directors. A person may not hold more than one board of directors position at any given time.”

Committee members serve an average of 2-3 hours a month. Bod members serve 4-6 hours a month, and attend 3 in-person bod meetings, each last 3-7 days. Volunteers provide their expert industry knowledge and skillsets to help guide the organization or complete tasks that give back to the membership.”
