In september 2017, the bylaws were amended. A summary of the changes are as follows: - reduced number of standing committees to executive, governance, development and finance. The executive committee has authority to act on behalf of the board of directors when it is not in session. The finance committee is responsible for all financial filings with government agencies and for such additional duties as may be assigned to it by the board of directors. - changed the maximum number of directors to 23 with a minimum of 18. Divided directors into three classes, all of which serve three year terms. - clarified that the managing director and artistic director are ex officio non-voting directors. - simplified notice and streamlined administrative requirements
