Cardiac Services: Sherman Health has more than 30 years of cardiovascular excellence focusing on proactively preventing, diagnosing and treating an array of heart conditions. As an accredited Chest Pain Center through the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care, Sherman is dedicated to the care of our cardiac patients. This accreditation means that we integrate the industry's best practices to provide the best possible outcomes in cardiac care. In 2012 we also received Platinum recognition from the American College of Cardiology/American Heart Association. This recognition is achieved by receiving a 90 percent or above performance rating for four consecutive quarters.Sherman's Heart Failure program has achieved Advanced Certification in Heart Failure designation for our best practices in caring for heart failure patients. Additionally, we have received gold level recognition from the American Heart Association's "Get With the Guidelines-Heart Failure" program for our commitment to improving quality care.For fiscal year 2012, Sherman performed nearly 800 inpatient cardiac cath procedures and over 400 inpatient cardiovascular surgical procedures.

Activity 3

Orthopedic Services: Sherman Hospital is recognized as a center of excellence in treating diseases and injuries of muscles, bones and joints and is a leader in state-of-the-art orthopedic diagnostic and treatment options. Depending on the injury or illness, treatment can range from non-surgical options such as casts, splints and physical therapy to surgical options from minimally invasive arthroscopy to total joint replacement. For fiscal year 2012, Sherman performed nearly 1,000 inpatient orthopedic surgeries.
