“Volunteers and the officers elect all new officers that will preside over their auxiliary in the coming year. Members joining the volunteer staff are not elected or approved--this is open to the public to encourage volunteerism.”
“Decisions concerning the volunteers and their governing body are voted on by all present at that meeting. All votes carry the same weight, whether from an officer or volunteer in the auxiliary.”
“Financial statements are reviewed by the executive director of the auxiliary prior to delivering to the accountant for 990 return preparation. Upon receipt of the 990 to be filed, a second review is completed with the treasurer of the auxiliary. This allows for any adjustments to be immediately coded into the quickbooks programming used to track financial data.”
“Reid hospital and health care is open to the public 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Any request for documents supporting federal tax returns filed by the auxiliary are available upon request. If the auxiliary office is closed, then the request for documentation is satisfied upon the next open day.”
