“Vvma held 18 in-person community desk-building events for our desk mates program. Over 540 volunteers built 50+ single desks and 12 accessible picnic tables which were donated to students and families from various school communities and youth programs. One of vvma's largest events, took place on metrowest mlk day, in which we engaged 205 volunteers. They assisted in various charitable actions including making lasagnas, fruit breads, painting stars of hope, making baby blankets for project linus and made and distributed 1067 soup jars for various local food pantries.”
“Volunteer ventures and jloft (jewish learning opportunities for teens) partnered to offer service trips to teens from the greater boston area. We returned from our third trip to new orleans, organized in collaboration with youth rebuilding new orleans who set up our service projects and hosted us. Toegther we rebuilt fences and railings for an elderly couple, bagged recycled glass to help in coastal barrier reclamation, and planted trees.”
