“Mission ready inc. (recreation, education, achievement for disengaged youth) equips new havenarea youth and young adults with the skills, confidence, and opportunities to succeed academically, socially, and professionally. We focus on students who are chronically absent, impacted by substance use, or at risk of community violence, providing them with consistent mentorship and positive outlets. Core programs youth mentorship & prevention governors prevention partnership program: one-to-one and group mentoring for middle- and highschool students identified as chronically absent or at risk. Works in partnership with new haven public schools to create referral pathways, track attendance, and reduce substance use and violence. Sports & recreation west haven summer basketball camp and new haven/fame academy camp: six-week summer programs serving 150+ students with daily instruction, team play, and character-building workshops. Year- round basketball training and aau exposure for high-school athletes, including recruitment support and college-prep guidance. Youth entrepreneurship & financial literacy ym3 young minds making money: teaches business basics, budgeting, and entrepreneurial skills through hands-on projects and micro-enterprise competitions. Ongoing financial- literacy workshops on saving, credit, and investing. Arts, wellness & prosocial activities yoga, hip hop dance, spoken-word poetry, and computer training classes that build confidence and healthy habits. Funded through the city of new haven youth & recreation sports and prosocial activities expansion grant (fy2526). Teen parenting support ready inca teen parenting program: 230,000 initiative staffed by four caseworkers to provide parenting education, life-skills training, and resource navigation for young parents. Community development & workforce pathways partnerships with local nonprofits and trades programs to introduce youth to vocational training (culinary arts, automotive technology, carpentry) with union- aligned wages and certifications. Support services daily meals during camps (breakfast and lunch). Transportation assistance and family engagement events. Referrals to counseling, healthcare, and academic tutoring.”

“2024 expanded workforce development and skills training ready inc. Launched new certificate and career-pathway programs in fields such as technology, construction, and healthcare. Graduates moved directly into jobs or advanced training, supported by strong partnerships with local employers and unions. Strengthened youth and education programming the organization broadened its after-school and summer offerings, adding stem enrichment, entrepreneurship workshops, and mentoring circles. Students reported higher engagement and improved academic readiness, while families expressed strong satisfaction with the supportive environment. Community capacity building and quality of life initiatives ready inc. Completed major community improvement projects, including upgrades to shared spaces and the introduction of neighborhood wellness events. These efforts created welcoming environments and encouraged greater civic participation. Organizational growth and sustainability new multi-year grants and diversified funding streams stabilized operations and positioned ready inc. For long-term impact. Internal systems for tracking outcomes and reporting were upgraded, improving transparency and accountability. Equity and inclusion efforts targeted outreach successfully increased participation among underrepresented residents, reducing barriers such as transportation and program costs. Ready inc. Also expanded scholarship and support services to ensure all community members could access opportunities.
