Leadership military academy is to prepare young men and women in a structured and diverse educational environment, encouraging academic excellence, social growth, and emotional development. Rcea uses a military model to unlock the leadership potential in all cadets, preparing them for post-secondary goals to include college and career opportunities.

A cpa firm drafts a form 990 and sends the draft to management for their review. The cpa firm is notified of any changes and then the return is reviewed by the board of directors before a final copy is prepared for mailing.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 12C: Explanation of Monitoring and Enforcement of Conflicts

In the RCEA bylaws, a full written description of the conflict of interest policies is in Articles IX, X, XI, and XII inclusive. Each member of the board of directors and the commandant are annually required to disclose any potential interests on Form 700. This document is required annually and as a service to RCEA, our RCOE Division of Personnel Services records and reports compliance to the filing rule.

Financial Statement Notes

Part X : FIN48 Footnote

The academy has adopted financial accounting standards board (fasb) accounting standards codification (asc) topic 740 that clarifies the accounting for uncertainty in tax positions taken, or expected to be taken, on a tax return and provides that the tax effects from an uncertain tax position can be recognized in the financial statements only if, based on its merits, the position is more likely than not to be sustained on audit by the taxing authorities. Management believes that all tax positions taken to date are highly certain and, accordingly, no accounting adjustment has been made to the financial statements.
