Mission

The drew memorial hospital mission is 1) to provide a friendly, professional environment committed to quality and compliance while respecting and appreciating everyone; 2) to expand needed healthcare services; 3) to promote good health and wellness through the provision of community education and facilities; 4) to uphold the values of accountability, teamwork, quality, honesty, trust, creativity/innovation, and premier service; and 5) to operate in an economically sound manner.

Drew memorial is committed to enhancing healing, health and wellness in southeast arkansas. The hospital facility was leased to baptist health effective 12/2023, at which time baptist health took over operations of the hospital. Since the effective date, activity consists of rental income and expenses on remaining property and administrative duties from the lease of the hospital facility. Baptist health is providing the healthcare services and operating the hospital through the lease arrangement with drew memorial hospital. The hospital license is owned by baptist health.

Form 990, Part VI, Line 3 Delegation of management duties

Effective december 3, 2023 the hospital transferred clinical operations and subleased assets to baptist health, an arkansas nonprofit corporation, for an initial term of 25 years, with two optional renewals of 25 years each. Lessee at its sole option may terminate this lease with one year's prior written notice. Rents are to be paid by the lessor in the amounts required for debt service payments of all legal obligations of the hospital.
