The mission of the vera bradley foundation is to eradicate breast cancer as a life-threatening disease by funding research and research related projects.

The vera bradley foundation for breast cancer raises funds for research to find a cure and to improve the lives of the many affected by this disease.

Financial Statement Notes

Schedule D, Page 3, Part X

The foundation is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c)(3) of the united states international revenue code, and qualifies for the 50 percent charitable deduction limitation. However, the foundation is subject to federal income tax on any unrelated business taxable income. Management believes the foundation is no longer subject to examination by taxing authorities for years before october 31, 2014. The foundation has been classified as an organization that is not a private foundation under section 509(a) of the internal revenue code.
