The Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Foundation supports Ascension's Mission and that of the Sisters of the Holy Cross, our founders, that established Ascension St. Vincent Anderson 126 years ago with the purpose of serving those that are poor and vulnerable.

IRS990/Description0Saint John's Health System and its predecessor corporation commenced the operation of the Children's Clinic in 1973; serving indigent children under the age of seven, three evenings per week. Nurses, physicians, dentists and other health care providers donated their services and Saint John's Health System donated the space and medical supplies. Since 1991, the clinic has operated four days per week, eight hours per day, serving children sixteen years of age and younger. Health care providers have contributed support, as before, and the costs associated with operations have been provided by gifts and fundraising activities. See Schedule O for a non-exhaustive list of community benefit programs and descriptions.
