Through 34 consistent primary care, surgical, and public health medical and health service teams, timmy was able to treat over 14710 patients, monitor 4680 patients with chronic illnesses, and refer over 2000 patients to a local specialist for follow-up care. In addition to direct services, much needed medicines and medical supplies were donated to timmy global health international partners, patients, and healthcare non-profits in the local indianapolis community. These donations had an estimated value exceeding 3.78 million dollars, greatly enhancing timmy's overall impact on health disparities. Beyond medical service teams, timmy also worked to improve the outreach of our international partner organizations through 225k of direct financial support for public health programs, trainings of local medical professionals and community health workers, and other capacity building activities. Timmy also supported our 50 national student chapters to engage in global health advocacy and service activities in the us and abroad.”
“In fy 13-14, timmy continued to grow overall health programming via medical service trips, new international partnerships, energized student chapters, and enhanced auxiliary programs to complement existing efforts in the regions where we work. Over the years, we've determined that timmy is strongest, and our patient outcomes are best, when our programming complements the efforts of our partners, strengthens local health systems, and builds the infrastructure to treat vulnerable patients. With this in mind, we launched timmy 2.0-a strategic program model-in which each timmy site has a focus on the essential program areas that we believe best strengthen our service provision. Specifically, each site included in the model has: a strong partner organization, a robust patient referral program, trained community health promoters, a local medical professional to treat patients year-round, and data-driven decisions informed by our emr timmycare. Alongside this model, timmy also capitalized on the efforts of volunteers and funding of generous donors to implement a variety of auxiliary public health programs that complement 2.0. Whether it be a safe water solutions project in the amazon basin to provide clean water, a nutrition program in guatemala to track and treat malnourished children, or the construction of a rural healthcare facility in the ecuadorian amazon for community health promoter trainings, timmy thought strategically about not how to just treat patients throughout the year, but get to the root of their illness through such programs.”
“The organization is exempt from federal income taxes under section 501(c) (3) of the u.s. Internal revenue code. The organization is not considered to be a private foundation. Accordingly, no provision for income taxes has been reflected in the organization's financial statements. The organization has evaluated its tax positions for all open tax years. Currently, the tax years open and subject to examination by the internal revenue service are the 2009, 2010 and 2011 tax years. However, the organization is not currently under audit nor has the organization been contacted by any jurisdiction. Based on the evaluation of the organization's tax positions, management believes all tax positions taken would be upheld under an examination. Therefore, no provision for the effects of uncertain tax positions has been recorded for the years ended june 30, 2014 or 2013”

WHETHER IT BE A SAFE WATER SOLUTIONS PROJECT IN THE AMAZON BASIN TO PROVIDE CLEAN WATER, A NUTRITION PROGRAM IN GUATEMALA TO TRACK AND TREAT MALNOURISHED CHILDREN, OR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A RURAL HEALTHCARE FACILITY IN THE ECUADORIAN AMAZON FOR COMMUNITY HEALTH PROMOTER TRAININGS, TIMMY THOUGHT STRATEGICALLY ABOUT NOT HOW TO JUST TREAT PATIENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR, BUT GET TO THE ROOT OF THEIR ILLNESS THROUGH SUCH PROGRAMS. |
