Healthy indiana plan: beginning 1/1/08, mdwise began a three-year contract with the state, through ompp and the family and social services administration (fssa), to establish and administer a statewide, risk-bearing network to deliver health care to uninsured indiana residents under the new health care coverage plan. Mdwise, partnering with affiliated computer services (acs), performs its obligations in part through health care delivery systems and their network of plan providers. On june 2, 2010, mdwise was awarded a joint contract for hhw and hip programs to begin january 1, 2011.there were 9,800 members enrolled in the healthy indiana product at 12/31/2011.

Activity 3

Indiana care select program: beginning 10/01/2007, mdwise was granted a four-year contract with the state, through ompp, to conduct certain care management and prior authorization functions, including care coordination, disease management, utilization management, and disposition or prior authorization requests, for the indiana care select program (care select). During 2011, the state amended the contract to extend through to october 2013. The plan was responsible for 20,200 members at 12/31/2011.
