“The carmel arts council's mission is to encourage and promote the arts for all ages through leadership, financial, and volunteer support in order to nourish a vibrant culture in the carmel community.”

“Each year the carmel arts council awards visual arts scholarships to high school seniors, as well as monetary awards to underclassmen. We awarded more than 11,140 in 2019. More than 150 students show their work and our carmel arts council judges decide the awards. The winning art, in addition to the monetary awards, is displayed in our student gallery in downtown carmel, in.”

“Each month of the year, our children's gallery in carmel, in promotes local student art by featuring a different local elementary each month of the school year. During the summer months, two local high school students are chosen to curate a summer exhibition--choosing the theme, the local student art, planning all publicity, the open house for the opening night of the exhibit, and then hanging and setting up the show. These curators receive a monetary award for the summer work.”
