Our crisis shelter is comprised of staff around the clock assisting clients with identifying their needs, connecting to resources, and planning for a safe future. During 2021, 573 adults and children were assisted through our programs at the shelter.”
“Success services - as part of the continuum of care provided to victims and survivors of domestic violence, we offer advocacy services/case management to clients living in the shelter and clients staying out in the community. In addition, we offer adults in our community education about domestic violence and tailored presentations for professionals. In 2021, a total of 3,384 adults and youth received prevention and intervention education through our education program. The number of participants was lower in 2021 due to the difficulty of scheduling presentations because of ongoing effects of the pandemic. Within our education activities, we provide workplace training on diversity with three different formats. While diversity dialogues were still on hold due to covid in 2021, ywca focused on enhancing internal training through participation in the local united front initiative.”
