“Volunteers were essential in providing setup/tear down services for multiple events. The staffing for the various events were provided by volunteers. Other services provided by the volunteers include serving on committees, reviewing applications and assisting with office administrative tasks.”
“The organization provided many opportunities for members and the community to interact and develop relationship. Events included: 1) an annual meeting to recognize various businesses and individuals with awards for outstanding service and performance. Business awards include large business, small business, non profit and education. Individual awards include young professional, citizenship, and educator awards. 2) meet and greet opportunities are also available on a monthly basis to allow an individual business to open their doors to other members for information and socialization. 3) the organization also has a young professional outreach for young professionals ages 18-39. This program allows individuals to build peer- to-peer connections and relationships. 4) the organization held over 25 events with over 1000 attendees. These events included state of dekalb 2024 for cities and towns, non-profits and education, duesy awards, career exploration day, luncheon series for women in business, hr spring summit, prism women's conference, community impact forums, and young professional social and networking events.”
