“Program services include: life skills training for young adults ages 17- 25; self-advocacy training for adults of all ages; mentoring, education, support and information for parents and other family members who care for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities; educating individuals, family members and caregiversabout how to effectively communicate with policy-makers and legislators regarding their life-long challenges and needs; develop and enhance job interview and work skills; peer networking; promote mentoring and supporting peers; teach responsibility and value of volunteering; develop leadership skills; book club to promote literacy, socialization and community inclusion; and discussions of dating and relationships.
