“Cash contribution: 6,970 cash contribution: 6,000 cash contribution: 7,000”
“Schools remain closed. Teachers continue to prepare workhome packages and library books for our 188 pupils. Funding from europe enables us to complete construction of the classroom and administration block. We now have 14 classrooms ready for students to return to school.”
“The charity drilled 4 boreholes, built 11 village wells and constructed 2 water tanks for village families. These new and improved water systems provide accessible, safe, all season water for 1,880 villagers, 8 places of worship, several schools, 5 health centers and many small businesses. Safe water reduces illnesses caused by polluted water and reduces time wasted hauling water from distant wells. Also children are safer when they are closer to home.”
“2,872 children / youth and 2,403 adults were examined and treated for malaria, intestinal worms, flu, hiv-aids and covid-19. 75 mama kits were distributed to promote maternal health especially among teen mothers. 75 mosquito nets were given to children and pregnant women to reduce malaria. 800 reusable face masks were distributed. Covid-19 leaflets were given to youth to improve awareness and reduce the spread of the virus. The ngo demonstrated construction and use of handwashing stations near school and family toilets. We donated soap to schools and to poor families.”
“190 farmers were trained to use intensive farming techniques, they received seeds and they planted family gardens to improve and increase family food supply. Trainees also built energy saving stoves to minimize environmental destruction. 66 women farmers received seeds and money to start food related businesses. We trained teachers and donated farm equipment to promote school gardens. 179 mothers were trained in child nutrition and they learned to make baby food from amaranth, soy, fish, millet, pumplin and eggs. 174 families suffering from food shotages received seeds and food packages.”
