In addition, its focus is on the elimination of physical and economic deterioration of the downtown area and the promotion of the historical and cultural significance of downtown sandusky. The association seeks to improve and restore the vitality of downtown sandusky by undertaking activities designed to preserve its traditional downtown area as a healthy, economically vital center of commerce and social activity. It also promotes preservation, rehabiliation, and reuse the commercial, civic, and residential buildings on the business district.”

Pride's mission was to promote and celebrate lgbtq culture and awareness and celebrate sandusky's long history as a diverse community.”
