General explanation attachment

Part iii-4a program service accomplishments the season consists of three sessions of soccer. Recreational league teams play seven games each session, and the games are played once a week on saturdays. The first session begins in august and is played outdoors. The other two sessions are played indoors between november and late april. The recreational league is divided into boys and girls divisions, and the children in each division are grouped by age. In the spring of 2008, husc began soccer4all, a program for children aged 4-19 with physical and/or mental disabilities. The program is geared toward player development rather than competition. Soccer4all is open to any child with a developmental delay or disability including but not limited to: a.d.d., autism, hearing impaired, sight impaired, cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injury, cystic fibrosis, downs syndrome, multiple sclerosis, muscular dystrophy, seizure disorder and spinal bifida. Players do not need to be hudson residents. The soccer4all program has three primary goals: 1) get active; 2) make friends; and 3) have fun it also gives parents an opportunity to enjoy watching their children as well as develop friendships themselves. Players are grouped according to ability and to a lesser extent, their age. There is a coach for each group. The size of the group depends on the number of children that sign up for each session. There are two soccer4all sessions each year. The spring session runs from late april through early june. The fall session runs early september through october. Games are played saturday mornings or afternoons at barlow farm park in hudson. Soccer4all utilizes many young volunteers called soccer buddies. Buddies are fifth grade and above students who assist the soccer4all players and coaches. In many cases, players are paired up one-on-one with a buddy to offer individualized direction and support. Huscs mens league is a recreational soccer league for men who live in hudson. Founded in the 1990s with we have to go to work on monday as its motto, the mens league emphasizes fun and camaraderie over winning. Men are eligible to play if they have a child who is participating or has participated in huscs recreational, travel soccer, or referees the mens league historically has consisted of 4 teams that are formed in august and september. The teams begin play with a 7- game outdoor session in september, and play two 7-game indoor sessions at the nc soccer facility on stow road from november through early may. Founded in january 2007 with a motto, we have to go back to work as soon as the game is over, the womens league is all about fun and friendship. Soccer took off in the united states as a womens sport in high school and college in the 1980s, and many of the women who were part of this trend are now moms in hudson. When husc conducted a survey in the fall of 2006 about the possibility of starting a womens league, the answer was a resounding yes and so now hudson women have it, a league of their own.

IRS990ScheduleO/SupplementalInformationDetail/ExplanationTxt3PART III-4A PROGRAM SERVICE ACCOMPLISHMENTS THE SEASON CONSISTS OF THREE SESSIONS OF SOCCER.
