“Homes, race, and ethnicity. Emmanuel provides a strong academic program in its elementary/middle school and now has expanded its programs to offer educational services to include infants through eighth grade. We operate using a systematic approach; research-based curriculum, enrichment opportunities and a solid emphasis on core subjects that are essential to academic adjustment. Our board of trustees and staff are a dedicated group of men and women who support the vision, mission, purpose and ministry of our school. Moreover, our staff builds on students' strengths, as opposed to focusing on presumed deficiencies. Emmanuel's commitment to serve at-risk students and their success goes beyond regular school hours. Emmanuel christian academy provides training and a methodology that offers the best hope to unlock the learning potential of all children. We are committed to providing a well-rounded education for our students. The curriculum, activities and programs of emmanuel have all been designed to promote the success of our students while providing a real opportunity to further the development of children emmanuel's curriculum and special programming continues to be noted for excellence, providing students with social and academic skills needed to achieve their full potential and make positive contributions to the community. We understand that our students' needs stretch far beyond the classroom; therefore, our commitment to them and their success goes beyond school hours. We provide an after-school/extended day program that includes homework labs and special tutoring. The curriculum, activities, and programs at emmanuel have all been designed to promote success and provide a genuine opportunity for the future to children society may otherwise have written off. Among the programs designed for success are: community involvement program, summer enrichment program, creative arts program, (band, drama, dance, art, choral music), ohio school choice programs, usda child nutrition program, social skills intervention program (3rd-4th), career assessment program (7th grade), an entrepreneurship/financial literacy program (5th-8th), and an athletic program. Emmanuel has established a brand and reputation of operating with integrity and educating children in the spirit of excellence. In keeping with our mission to serve students who continue to be underserved in the traditional systems of education, we now serve 40 additional grades in preschool children ages 6 weeks to 3 years old. We found, through research, that there is growing evidence that high-quality preschool child development programs contribute to the short and long-term development of children living in poverty. Schweinhart, l. J. (2003, may). Research also shows the effects of high quality programs were strongest for low income families and for children whose parents did not have a college degree emmanuel christian academy continues to serves young people who are low income, minority, urban, and come from single parent homes. We have accepted the challenge of educating "at risk" students and refuse to make excuses for our children. We are committed to providing these opportunities for our students to set them on the path of success. We provide all students with a challenging curriculum that prepares them for success - with our "urban" students consistently performing at or above their grade level on national standardized testing. As a result emmanuel reports that 94% of our graduating students completed high school as well as passing all parts of the state of ohio mandated testing requirements the first time. Our most recent success is highlighted through the track record of our current alumni who graduated from high school in 2015 over 91% continued on to attend colleges in ohio and throughout the country. Emmanuel serves families of children living primarily in the west akron communities of zip codes- 44320, 44301, 44311, 44307, 44313 and 44302, where the concentration of a”

“The preparation of financial statements in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the united states of america requires the organization to report information regarding its exposure to various tax positions taken by the organization. The organization has determined whether any tax positions have met the recognition threshold and have measured the organization's exposure to those tax positions. Management believes that the organization has adequately addressed all relevant tax positions and that there are no unrecorded tax liabilities. Federal and state tax authorities generally have the right to examine and audit the previous three years of tax returns filed. Any tax related interest or penalties, of which there were none, would be recorded as management and general expense in the accompanying statements of activities.”
