“The mission of the crime prevention association of findlay/hancock county is to reduce countywide crime, enhance the sense of safety and security, to positively influence the quality of life in hancock county, and to help develop an environment where crime cannot flourish.”

“The boot project is one way the crime prevention association is working to enhance the sense of safety and security. The boot is a product that, once installed, can withstand 16,000 pounds of pressure and works on all doors with a simple one step engagement, allowing the room to be locked. The goal is to place the boot in every classroom and administrative office in all of findlay city, hancock county, and private and parochial schools.”

“Other ways that the crime prevention association is working to reduce crime and enhance the sense of safety and security, to positively influence the quality of life in hancock county is through their k-9 fund used to help support the findlay police department and hancock county sheriff's office units, yield (young individuals education local drivers) program and chaplains program. They also have several smaller projects that they are invovled with.”
