Mission

CCDC is committed to improving the quality of life in the city of Cleveland by strengthening its neighborhoods through assistance to businesses expanding within or relocating to the city of Cleveland. Assistance includes work force solutions including technical assistance with the purpose of maintaining or expanding and creating job opportunities for the citizens of Cleveland.

When the annual form 990 tax return is completed by the agencys hired accountant, the return is submitted to the agency for review. Board members can review the return for errors, omissions, etc. Any revisions can be made by the outside accountants before the return is submitted to the IRS.

Many CCDC board members are employees of financial institutions that provide loans to businesses/others that also receive financial assistance from CCDC. In these cases the board members are required to abstain from voting on any assitance to the borrower in accordance with CCDC policy.
