“These annual awards are presented to honor and encourage producers and broadcasters who produce wholesome and quality programs in the spirit of the gospel message. The award is a recognition of outstanding industry producers and broadcasters who uplift the human spirit by celebrating universal human values. Attendes have a heightened awarness of the importance of recognizing those who uphold the philosophy of the organization and are moved toward increasing broadcasts which promote traditional values.”

“This brings together church broadcasters, directors of communication for the dioceses, religious orders and religious organizations for the purpose of educating them on technical advances through the use of forums, workshops, discussion groups, and business meetings which enable members to increase their knowledge and share experiences. For the thirteenth time, the catholic academy met jointly with the catholic press association resulting in the 2017 catholic media conference. The catholic academy had 50 members in attendance. Combined group attendance was approximately 300. Some members have dual memberships. There was no income from the event because the catholic press association acted as the facilitator organization.”

“Members are sent e-mails as a means to inform them of the organizational activity. Webinars are periodically offered as an alternative source of communcation. The organization maintained a website until it merged with the catholic press association.”
